All search engines out there have one goal, to find content that is both relevant AND helpful for its users. SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is what helps achieve this. Our SEO tools help bring traffic to your website by allowing you to create descriptions and keywords to maximize search algorithms.

To customize your SEO, open up the Settings Menu on the main SnapPages side menu on the left. There you will find three different mechanism to refine your SEO. Below, I will walk through what each tool does and how to set it up.

Website Description

When people browse the internet, there are two ways they search. The first way is by typing a short description into the search bar. The Website Description tool allows you to set your site’s description so it can be quickly found by web crawlers. For example, if someone searches for “Bakery and Coffee shop in Georgetown” the search engines would look for websites with descriptions that match. So just think about the description you would type in to find your website and put that into your SEO settings!

Keywords

The second way people search is by keywords. For example, rather than typing out “Bakery and Coffee shop in Georgetown” a user could simply search “Coffee Georgetown espresso.” Search Engines will then trawl the web and pull up any websites that feature these words. Using our Keywords tool, you can quickly and easily fill in all relevant keywords to optimize online searches.

Searchable

Turning on your SEO is as simple as flipping a switch! Once you turn it on, your website now becomes searchable across all search engines.
